Eddie Crismani (USA)
Eddie Crismani and I worked for the same long distance telecommunications company in the mid- to late-1990s, and we stayed in touch after our occupational ways parted in late 1998.

Eddie is an ex-pat Australian with an interesting background, having grown up in an opal mining area of Oz known as Coober Pedy.  If the name sounds familiar to you, it should: movies such as The Red Planet, Pitch Black, and the Mad Max series were all filmed in that area.

Eddie and his brother Michael have two scripts out, one of which - "Coober Pedy", a drama based on their childhood experiences in Coober Pedy - is making the rounds in Hollywood at this moment.  (Both scripts are registered with the WGA.)

The other script - "Make the Burning Stop" - is a comedy about two Aussie lads and their escapades in the States and is being edited to match the requirements of another studio.

Coober Pedy is good enough to impress seasoned actor Harv Presnell (Fargo, Saving Private Ryan, The Legend of Bagger Vance), and Rena Owen (Once Were Warriors, AI, Star Wars).

Good enough to impress writer, director and producer Leszek Burzynski (Blood Harvest, Trapped Alive, Cry Wolf, Wooly Boys (Peter Fonda, Kris Kristofferson, Keith Carradine)).

Kevin Fisk (USA)
Kevin Fisk and I met up in 2000 when we both worked for a credit card transaction processing company.  I needed a rideshare and Kevin was looking for someone to make the 45 minute drive to work less quiet.

Everyone I meet has an interesting story to tell, and Kevin is no exception.  Involved in an accident some years ago (he was hit - twice - by two drunk drivers as he attempted to help someone involved in an earlier accident) he spent some weeks in a coma and was not expected to recover.

Not only did he confound the dire predictions, he resumed his career as a remarkable software engineer.  His credits include work on the Shuttle, TRW's credit scoring system, and Movie Magic's ScreenWriter 2000.

Peter Killick (UK)
Peter Killick is another much-traveled ex-pat Aussie, who currently resides with his family in the north of England.

He and I met some time in the mid 1980s during a period when I ran an international computer user group (ITUG) out of my cavernous bedsit in Oxford, and he had escaped from the turmoil in South Africa as it tore itself free from apartheid.

As we bounced around the globe we managed to stay in touch, but it wasn't until the last couple of years that we switched from a focus on computing to one on writing.
